Persistent But Patient

Hebrews 4:14-16

Since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weakness, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are- yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Lately, I have found myself praying a lot more than usual(perhaps not being on fb has something to do with it..lol). The little messes that invade my floors, the whining during school, the bills & the errands sometimes makes me feel overwhelmed. (GASP)...Did I just admit that to the world? It's a struggle for me to accept not being in control of my day....things seem to always interrupt my plans. As I spend time in Gods word it convicts my thoughts towards the mundane things in life... I often read my prayer journal and continue to see the Lord's work at hand in my life outwardly and inwardly over the years.

The more I remind myself to just take it one task, thought or test at at time. The more I find myself praying my way through the feelings of fear, worries and frustrations. It is then that I realize God's willingness to give me just the right amount of grace needed for that day and most importantly at that time! I continually find myself crying in joy & amazement that God truly loves ME in-spite of me. WOW! He is so near and comforts me like no other can(although my hubby does a pretty good job)... I can't tell you how many days I wake up to the sound of cry's at 6:00am in the morning and I'm still soooo very sleepy. Somehow God supplies me with exactly what I needed for that day with tons of energy to go around as I stay focused on Him!

So, I encourage you to pray persistently to God for you to become slow to speak rashly, to feel overwhelmed easily and to just give up. While always remaining patient and anticipating your transformation to become more like Christ through your everyday circumstances! The thought of not being like Christ and missing the mark can be discouraging but know that we ourselves can not do anything on our own... It is only when we completely lean and turn to God that He enables us to be more like Him. After all, if you desired to be like a role model in your life wouldn't you want to spend time, see what there days look like, imitate & learn from them directly? Christ desires for us to get to know Him more intimately in that way through "The Faith Book" aka Bible! ;)Don't let a day go by that your not logging into your account paid for by Christ. Lord, I'm thankful for your help in becoming more persistent but patient throughout my days.
