He will not depart from it

Wow, What an amazing year! Elijah now almost 3 on August 14th and Xavier 1 and a half. These two little guys are such a blessing in our my lives! I'm so thankful and feel so honored that Christ has found Brian & I to lead them to the heart of Christ! These little people are so impressionable and hang on to our every action and word we say.

Ecclesiastes 9:10
What your hand finds to do, verily, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol where you are going

Amen! What a blessing to know that Christ is pleased with us, taking Joy in putting all we have into cultivating a Godly marriage to be an God honoring example for our children to follow oneday!

Xavier is such a handsome little guy always wanting to be loved. Isn't that something to think about children crave a loving atmosphere. Through discipline, compassion & attention. Xavier loves to give out kisses with drool marks to show for it. Running or the attempt to run is his new thing he likes to do especially with a big brother to track down. He seems to be a pretty good eater although lately he has been pretty selective in what he chooses to eat. A messy eater to say the least. The concept of fork and spoon are soon to follow I hope. He is definitely going to be my athletic one. A ball would be his dream toy any day of the week! Always wanting to throw, roll or dunk a ball any chance he gets.

Elijah what a blessing! He is being such a good example for his little brother these days with consistent discipline(might I add). God is so gracious towards us daily. Elijah love, love, loves robots right now. Transformers to be exact. Bumble bee to be even more precise! I know we will have take him to see the new transformers movie once it comes out towards the end of this month. Besides that Elijah enjoys time spent with his friends Nathan, Emerson, Steven, Alieen, Noah and Ember in our play group. He is beginning to grasp why sharing is good. Mainly because when someone else has a cool toy he wants a turn but we have a little time to work on sharing!

I must not forget that the Boys and I went to our first Yankees game in . Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Kirby. What fun it was to see one of the last games to be played at the Old Yankees Stadium and what joy it was to see Brian so thrilled! The boys will forever cherish these times spent with family.

What a blessing it is to be at the end of another school year for Brian. The boys will cherish this extra time with Daddy this summer. Their little faces just light up whenever he walks through the door. What a blessing it is for me that God has granted me to be his daily helper in the home.

My prayer:

Lord, please protect our boys. Let them grow to love you! Allow them to hold onto all they learn about you so they will not part from it! Most importantly that you may be glorified....

Amen

Womanly Dominion

Wow! What an amazing journey this year has been for my family and I. God is so awesome! He lends to us Grace and Mercy over and over again in spite of our ignorance towards Him and his word "the Bible" He has left for us.

The chapter of my life for "09" could be entitled "Knowledge is seeking Him." This year the Lord has shown me so much in his word but most importantly displayed a Godly example of who I am to be as a wife, mother and friend by older women in the faith He has placed around me. What an immeasurable gift to receive. PRICELESS!

The other day I was talking to a family member who stated...."I'm leaving this marriage. My wife doesn't want to be a wife. She goes to work and does nothing with me(her husband) or the kids once she comes home." He then proceeded to ask me "why should I want to stay in a marriage like this when she pushes me to my limits constantly?" I then sympathized with him. It is only natural to feel like the victim & must leave in a situation like this! right? Wrong! God hates Divorce....PERIOD! RING...RING... Hello! Does anyone out there know the exact measurements of endurance and perseverance?

Example

Women this is a direct side effect of the "independent women" the world does not shine that revealing bright light on. You know the kind of light that shows all the blemishes on your face. They make it seem so fun and happy to be the successful women in the corporate world. But at what cost are you willing to obtain it? While in your homes a silence sweeps the air lacking love, compassion and intimacy. Is this God honoring? Do you think God is pleased with how your examples are constantly being portrayed in front of your little blessings called children? Women was created for one purpose to be a helper for her husband. Now if you are married and without children then by all means make a name for yourself if that is what you and your Hubby desire. However, once children are entered into the picture that trophy must retire. A last note withholding children for this purpose is not God honoring either. We are called to be fruitful throughout the Earth!

Some may say: "now that is degrading to say a woman have to stay home and do everything." Now lets consider this Greek word "hupotasso", this word is a military term meaning "to be ranked under. Apply this thought in the same way to the trinity. The order of command is the Father, Son(Jesus)and Holy Spirit(our comforter). Jesus was not inferior to the Father at all; likewise, the wife is not inferior to her husband in the same way! As Humans we will have authority over us no matter where we venture.... God, the Government, the law, a Boss, our parents..so on & so on. Submitting to your husband is God's design for a orderly home and life in Him.

I pray that this has provoked some thoughts and has been a blessing to you as it has been for me to study this.
